Course Outline:

This comprehensive continuing education program has been tailored for dental professionals seeking to enhance their clinical expertise in contemporary periodontics. This course emphasizes recent advancements and innovative approaches in managing periodontal and peri-implant diseases, highlighting minimally invasive techniques and laser-assisted therapies. Both Er:YAG (2,940nm) and Nd:YAG (1,054nm) lasers have revolutionized periodontal therapy by offering more precise, effective, and patient-friendly treatments compared to conventional methods. Their ability to selectively target bacteria, promote regeneration, and minimize tissue trauma makes them valuable tools in modern periodontics.

Participants will explore cutting-edge protocols including laser-tissue interactions, advanced periodontal and peri-implant therapies, photoacoustic irrigation cleaning techniques, and advanced methods in post-extraction ridge preservation. Through a combination of lectures, interactive sessions, hands-on experiences, and in-depth clinical case discussions, attendees will increase their understanding of both surgical and non-surgical periodontal treatments.

This program is designed to provide participants not only with comprehensive theoretical knowledge but also practical insights into implementing these advanced periodontal procedures effectively in daily clinical practice, ultimately improving patient outcomes and practice efficiency.

Course Objectives

  • Understand Periodontal and Peri-implant Diseases: Gain a solid foundation in the principles of periodontal and peri-implant disease etiology, pathogenesis, and classification.
  • Understand Non-Surgical and Surgical Treatments in the Field of Periodontology: key techniques such as scaling, root planing, and adjunctive therapies for managing periodontal and peri-implant conditions.
  • Deepen Knowledge of Laser-Assisted Procedures: Learn the mechanisms of laser-tissue interaction in Periodontal and Peri-implant Therapy, and laser-assisted soft tissue management to improve clinical outcomes.
  • Explore Advanced Techniques: Adjunctive therapies like Photoacoustic cleaning and post-extraction ridge preservation into daily practice.
